07/03/2020 So I've been staying in Ninh Binh for the last few days as we are STILL off due to the global pandemic we know as the coronavirus. Would I recommend to fellow travellers? My answer- absolutely! (Ninh Binh that is, not the virus.) I've been staying in Green Mountain Homestay hostel, situated right in the mountains. Normally I'm a bright lights and big city kinda girl- but even city lovers can find solitude in the countryside!
The scenery is beautiful- mountains, mountains and more mountains. Might sound a tad boring, but a must see for everyone, especially if you want to set your sights on Ha Long Bay afterwards (if you are travelling up the country, that is.)
Trang An Boat Tour I've got four nights here in total and I'd say it's enough for me, though if you're at one with nature, maybe you want a bit longer. I'd recommend the Trang An Boat Tour and the Bai Dinh Pagoda- even if you're templed out, this one was worth seeing. I climbed this in 31 degrees Celsius!
If you're not comfortable driving your own scooter, there are still taxis around to get you about.
So if you're in the area pop along to Ninh Binh and have your breath taken away by the beautiful Vietnamese country side!
He he thank you, bit surprised I managed it myself!
Thanks for this Rosie! Great pics and congrats on the hot climb!
